You are not provoking your children when you do the following: (Do’s)
Here are the Do’s
1. Do take time to listen to what your children have to say:
Your children have good ideas to contribute to the family. When you listen to your children, you are building their self-esteem, confidence and a sense of belonging. Listen to your children and get them involved in decision-making. Even if you disagree with them, listen to what they have to say,
2. Do praise your children
Everyone needs affirmation, no matter how young or old. Praise motivates children to do more things, and God loves praise as well. Do you know that we are created to praise God? Left alone, children! They love praise, too. If you do not praise your children when they are still growing up, someone outside your home will praise them as they grow up, and that is how you lose them to the world.
3. Do spend time with your children
We live in a hectic world. We must make time for our children. This is because time flies so quickly. Relationships aren’t built over the phones, tablets or iPads.
Get involved in your children’s lives. Nothing spells “LOVE” better than time spent with each other.
